Mk vs DC art

Here is some art from the Mortal Kombat vs. DC game that recently came out. I was brought in late on the project but I got some pretty good art don e out of it. The team needed still images for the arcade endings so they called on me to do them. There wasn't a whole lot of time to do these so I was able to use all of the other concept artist in the Midway concept group to help me complete them. I did the rough sketches and art direction and the team did painting and detailing. Some I took to finish. Here they are:

This is the final version that made it into the game. My friend and colleague Bruno Werneck did the color painting.

This is the final piece from the endings I'll post for now. I took this one from start to finished. My friend John Powell had just given me his copy of the Frazzetta art book Icon and as you can see (or not) I was inspired.
